Breaking the law! Breaking the law! The class was given a photo assignment where we had to break five rules of photography: Rule of thirds, look through the viewfinder, keep the subject in focus, keep camera steady, use proper exposure. Here were my favorite, I'll post the rest on my website!

Darcy

In studio class we were working with lighting ratios. I was paired up with Darcy and we found a lacy veil and had lots of fun playing "Marilyn Monroe meets Lady Gaga."

Color Of Sin

Lately, I've been practicing photography that deals with concepts of pattern, color, texture, lines, etc. While out shooting, I saw this church with a unique color. I thought it was an odd color on a church.

Speed of Sound

I was given the objective to shoot a picture representing "rhythm". I came up with the idea of cogs and reels, but I was unable to find a watch. I tried out my other ideas before making a big discovery: a pocket watch! Here's my idea of rhythm, when pieces and parts all work together to get the job done.

Winter Wonderland

There was a recent snowstorm that caused school to close for two days. There was quite a bit of snow and ice and I just couldn't resist the opportunity to get some beautiful shots. A friend accompanied me so I took the liberty to practice some great portraits for her mother.
