Down and Dirty

While visiting my grandmother, I noticed some cows fighting in the pasture across from her yard. I chased them down and managed to snap some shots of their feuding.

My friend Paige came down to visit us at school so I took the opportunity to have her model for me.

Making Waves

For class we were given the assignment of some splash and pour shots, which is probably my favorite thing to do in studio. I had quite a big of fun making a mess to get these images.

The Beautiful People

Yesterday some models were brought into the studio for a day's worth of fun. I had the pleasure of shooting Hannah and Dallas, and even the gorgeous makeup artist who came to assist! More images can be found on the photo page of my website JGrayImages.Com.

I Am Whatever You Say I Am

Doing some photographs for a multi-light portrait assignment, I had the lovely Whitney and Brady model for me. I wanted to show a bit of who they are in their portraits, Whitney having a flair of subtle art and whimsy but also very much a superstitious/spiritual Mexican. I love her. Then there's Brady, who's a quirky kind of guy.

These were shot of the Okmulgee cemetery right after Memorial Day.

Hazardous Dinosaur Roaming

Taken for an HDR assignment. I have an irrational fear of dinosaurs, but I've always been interested in the prospect of them coming to life. My idea for this shot was to recreate a Jurassic Park scene in which the children see a dinosaur coming after them while in the car.

Worm is the Word

In Studio II we were given the assignment of doing a shot for food photography that could be used for an ad. I had a few ideas for gummy worms but was unable to get all the props I wanted so I settled for this. Later on though, I'd like to revisit and focus more on the worms. Until then, Jones soda and their crazy flavors are fun to experiment with.

Princess in the Making

These were taken at one of my friend Lauren's baby shower, an Alice in Wonderland themed get together with several friends, family, and cosplayers. After the shower, a small group went to watch the new Tim Burton film while in costume with the mommy-to-be as the White Queen. I'm excited for the day when I get to photograph baby Kennedy!

Those Magic Changes

In class we were given an assignment to demonstrate lighting techniques with the differences of harsh and soft lighting. To give a little bit of my own creative flair, I added some playful textures.
