One of my final assignments for my advertising class this semester was to create a campaign consisting of four images. I have to say that this was my FAVORITE assignment that I've tackled all semester and I'm giddy with my results. I picked video games for my campaign, angling towards a "violent video game" edge with my advertising. Many thanks to the awesome Amanda, David, and Mariah.
The footage was taken at Ruben's Mexican Restaurant in Stigler, Oklahoma. The interview features the manager, Ruth Ann, and her dealings with life inside and outside the workplace. http://vimeo.com/17593653
Jesse is a Tiffany's boyfriend, who also worked at the Castle of Muskogee. These were taken in the Muskogee area, from railroads to random buildings to the Castle itself!
Tiffany is a superb girl I met while working at the Haunted Castle of Muskogee. She's graduating this year and asked me to do the honors of her senior portraits. It was great working with her at the Castle and even more when shooting these images.
The other weekend I attended OKC's anime con, the third year of the running IzumiCon. I've attended every year and enjoy all the cosplayers that are willing to model for me. While most of the photographs taken are on my site JGrayImages, here are my favorites.
Thanks to some diver friends, I was given the opportunity to visit the Jenks Aquarium for the first time ever. It has always been something I've wanted to do, and my visit exceeded my expectations. Many thanks for the wonderful visit!!
I recently dyed my hair blue, something that I've been wanting to do for years. I've never had the courage until now, so here is me. Don't ask about the face I'm making, because I haven't a clue. I'm just obtuse.
These were shot for a class assignment of recreating an ad, but they turned out to be more fun than work. I recreated the Boondock Saints II poster, but when I found "Eat Late" series of ads by Burger King, I couldn't resist playing with the idea.
An assignment was given to recreate a lighting scenario, so once again I picked a shot from America's Next Top Model as inspiration. I had a classmate model for me, and I was very nervous about whether she would like the image or not. It turns out... she loves it!
An in-class assignment in which we were asked to find and photograph three people. That was the only requirement so I set out to find some friends. After scrapping together some boys and toys, I pulled together this silly idea.
In class we were given an assignment to pick out a photo we really liked, not knowing we would be asked to recreate it. I found one of the many images from Nigel Barker's amazing work and did my best to illuminate the lighting style he chose while working with ANTM. The lighting style is amazing and I played around with it quite a bit. The third image is the one I used for recreating his style.
I spent the entire month of October working at the Haunted Castle, and while I made an amazing video and capture a few great shots, I wish I could have gotten more. It was a wonderful and exhilarating workplace and I'm eager for next year.
This was shot for an "illustrating concept" assignment in which we were asked to photograph something to illustrate a common phrase. I went through several ideas before settling on "apple of my eye". After fulfilling the requirements, I took a few liberties in photoshop for some Halloween fun.
