First Semester

My first semester at OSUIT is over and I can honestly admit to being depressed about it. While Christmas break should be a good thing, I can't help but want to continue my classes. I have the greatest teachers: Bill Waugh and Kelly Kerr. Both of them have done an outstanding job in their attempts to teach me everything they know. I sincerely appreciate everything they've done for me and I cannot wait to return to class and see what else is in store for me.

Cupcake Agenda

I was given the assignment to make a CD cover for a made-up band. My band's name is CUPCAKE AGENDA and I'd like to picture them to have music similar to Panic! At the Disco and My Chemical Romance with the theme being political satire. I couldn't find any nation flags, but I'm quite proud of the result. I had way too much fun with this homework. Here's my final results:

Cosplay Photography

Cosplay is the hobby of a person recreating the image of an anime character, meaning a Japanese cartoon or video game character. It's a popular hobby and one of the reasons I got into photography. I love all the costumes and the effort and skill that people put into them. Featured below are cosplayers from the video game Final Fantasy, the computer program Vocaloid, and the anime Naruto.

Invading Wal-Mart

Today I was given an assignment in which I was meant to stand in a parking lot and take 20 photos without moving. It was somewhat difficult, trying to find a parking lot that would have a lot to offer in so many pictures but I found the perfect place... Wal-Mart. <3

Gone to the Dogs

I don't plan on specializing in pet photography, but I do enjoy photographing my own animals. They are a huge part of my life, almost every one having been rescued. They're almost impossible to keep still, but they can create some beautiful pictures.

The First Step

This is my first post of my new blog and I'm really excited about putting this to good use. My name is Jessi and I'm currently a student at OSU earning a degree in photography. I discovered my passion for photography not too long ago and it's taken me by storm and opened up so many doors to my life and I cannot wait to see what else my passion has in store for me.
